The Calathea makoyana has broad leaves, adorned with intricate and alternating patterns of light and dark green that resembles the feathers of a peacock. As the leaves mature, their undersides turn an elegant hue of burgundy. A humidity loving, plant, Calatheas thrive in bright kitchens and bathrooms.
